Attending the ‘Changing of the Guard ceremony’ outside the Buckingham Palace is one of the best free things to do in London. This is when The Queen's Guard meets New Guard to hand over the responsibility of protecting Buckingham Palace as well as St. James's Palace. The iconic uniform of traditional red tunics and bearskin hats define this entire experience. Even though it is mostly held at 11 am, the timings may change and there may not be any ceremonial music on some days. It is recommended to check the updated schedule before planning your visit.
