Fantastic production of Company. Sat in the stalls Row Q. Leg room okay. So had a bit of the dress circle overhang block the top of the stage but didn't spoil my view of the action. Beautiful theatre. Definitely go there again.
Beautiful theatre. Nice decor and ambience. I saw the production of "Company", a birthday / Christmas treat. I was not disappointed. Staff so helpful. Atmosphere was terrific. A really great show. Great music and innovative sets. Prices for drinks in the intermission is what you expect for a London theatre. I found the comfort of the seats not bad for 2 1/2 hours, but then I'm not the tallest person on the planet! I've sat in more uncomfortable seats in other London theatres. A fantastic evening out.
We went on the spur of the moment managed to get nice tickets . The show was amazing .snappy production with special effects and sharp choreography. The audience loved it and so did we . A bit long though for my bum on old seats but lots of fun . Great atmosphere. A lovely old theatre . Give it a try .
Really enjoyed the show ("Company"). Theatre staff were very friendly and helpful, refreshment prices were the usual captive audience rates but I can highly recommend the dark chocolate gingers. Acoustics were good and the chairs not too uncomfortable for two and a half hours! A memorable evening.
As always with being asked to comment on a theatre, the rating will always be influenced by the show / performance presented. As a venue, the building and facilities will not change, thus it remains one of many old, dated small theatres along Shaftesbury Avenue; reasonably comfortable yet crowded at interval and exit times. The show - Company - was an excellent rewrite (2018) for a female lead and, typically Sondheim, the lyrics told the story well in an interesting production.
