Hamleys, London Reviews - Write a Review
Probably the highlight of our children's travels into London - if there were being honest. You could tell we were heading in the right direction when we got off of the tube - the masses of giddy children towing their parents toward the fluttering red flags of Hamleys! Upon entering you're welcomed by happy, loud demonstrators (almost like carnival barkers) who want you to come and look at their little toy. We had 2.5 hours in the store the first time and we had to split up our family of four to make sure each child was seeing what they found interesting. We were wowed by many of the toys but my youngest daughter fell in love with what we thought (and was sold as by the demonstrator) a fairy-pixie drone. Turns out it used a piece of thin silk and a hair clip, but was still very cool to look at. My other daughter bought a drone. Well, the drone's battery door didn't open, so we ended up taking back the drone to exchange it for a working one. We also exchanged the fairy for the same glow drone, thinking they could use them at the same time. With the two drones, we received a 3rd nano drone. The exchange was easy, painless, no questions asked. Only bummer is that the drones work on the same frequency, so only one of them can be used at a time. And trying to explain that to antsy children is never easy! Even with all of that - we loved it, it was fun, exciting, and a great place to visit with our kids - even if it meant spending an arm and a leg on toys!
Such an amazing toy store! I've been here twice with my family and my boys have loved it every time. The staff are super friendly and there's plenty of games and toys to try out and even some freebies. The prices are certainly not for those on a budget but if your little ones have some birthday money to spend there's no better place :)
A dream place for children and a great tourist spot for London visitors regardless their age. You won't be disappointed visiting Hamley's, especially if you're going during December, full of Christmas vibes. They also have official and licensed merchandise of popular movies and series such as the Lord of The Rings, Harry Potter, Twilight, Game of Thrones, etc.
This toy shop is amazing! It's by far the best toy shop I've ever been to with my kids. The staff is very friendly. The people exhibiting the products are friendly and made the kids experience that much better. If you've got kids and you visit London you've got to go to Hamley's.
I wish I was a child again and be amazed like all the faces I saw in here! Hamleys is the London's landmark for a great childhood experience. If you have kids, prepare your Budget and provide them this experience.
