London Bridge - Review

Spanning across the western end of the Pool of London was once home to about 200 houses that stemmed from the bridge. They almost touched each other at the center making the bridge more like a tunnel pass with a 4-meter broad road. At that time people suffered heavy traffic jams and the bridge was in a collapsing state. the bridge was then replaced with a new one whose construction cost amounted to 4 million pounds. The bridge is beautifully lit after dark.

  • I just want to thank the wonderful staff who helped me when I slipped and fell down an escalator last night! They were all absolute stars and I was very grateful for their help. I ended up having 3 sets of stitches in my wounds so I did some damage, but these lovely gentlemen were wonderful!

  • It is a good place to view Thames river It has a very old history It was build some where 50AD,recent available history told us it was rebuild in1930. Once in 1968 it was sold to a American in a auction at the cost of 2,460,000US dollers and it was moved to Lake Havasu city Arizona. It was rebuild in in 1971 and opened for traffic in 1973. There are lot of bars and restaurants on the bank of river Thames just near the bridge. It has wonderful views of river Thames for photocopy. Tube station is on 10 mints walking distance, buses are also available from different destination.

  • Clean Well maintained Scientific achievement Disciplined crowd Traffic rules being obeyed Enjoyed the walk Missed London bridge opening to ships Remarkable is love of British to maintain their assets and what has been created earlier. This trait helped India as they discovered many ancaint but abounded old temples, art and creations of India and preserved it. There are always some good characters for a nation to rise and rule. Worth visiting.

  • Visited today around 2pm and was overall pleased with the service. I can depend on using this station again in future. Ideal location as not far from main attractions.
