Totally brilliant despite the rain. We were provided with waterproofs prior to boarding the boat we were then given a brief safety talk before setting sail. The tour guide (I have forgotten her name - sorry) was fantastic, very informative and funny. After a tour up and down sight seeing, the engines were given full throttle and off we went. It was just fantastic, certainly the best fun I have had for a long time. Well worth a trip.
This was one of the worst experiences in London, which could have been prevented had the company put comfort and safety before profit. They changed our slot short notice from a daytime slot to 5pm, when it would be dark and did not cancel (meaning we would have lost our money had we not attended) despite the rain coming down at such a rate we were drenched throughout in the freezing cold and where the rain felt like water hitting our face like bullets. Probably good on a nice day but their policy doesn't offer any flexibility and even when I asked and they said they tried to contact us to see if we were coming, when I questioned if we could come back another day, I was told that we would have to pay again.
Top Notch! We have been on the Thames Rockets twice now and they are brilliant. Bill, our guide was fantastic knowing everything about everything. Nick was a great driver and made it brilliant fun. I would recommend it to absolutely anyone.
I recommend the Thames rocket as a great experience. Our guide, Tom and driver Nick were both brilliant and made the experience that much better. It is a bit bouncy but not enough to unsettle our coffee and pastry we had before hand. We arrived 15 minutes before our ride as advised for our briefing which was to be honest a very short I ate on how their life vests work. Tom (our guide) said it was mostly for people to put on wet weather gear if need be. We visited in August in London’s 2018 heatwave so stood around finishing our coffee and making small talk. The ride was 50 minutes with approximately 15 minutes of speed as advertised. The slower part of the ride was filled with our guide telling us fascinating nonsense about the sights. I mean that in the nicest possible way as you could live without the information but much of it made you go, “oooh, I didn’t know that!” to you partner. I live in London and much of it was news to me. My wife and I really enjoyed the ride and loved the new way of seeing the Thames. We have done a Thames dinner cruise and other boat tours of the Thames before but recommend this above all others if you had to pick one!
Truly amazing experience made even better with Bill our guide and comedian. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to see parts of the Thames you don't normally see at a speed you don't normally go on water. Thrilling and funny. Thanks again Bill
