  • It certainly is a lovely store full of the world's most luxurious knitting yarns and notions, but just be aware before making a special trip that this is a high-end store. Yarns such as Madelinetosh are well over £20 per skein and they make up the whole stock - there are none at all in the mid range, let alone cheaper. If you want a pair of needlework scissors at £78 or skeins of very special yarn for an heirloom project then this will be a great place to look - myself, I used it as a place to see these very expensive skeins 'in the flesh' so that I have a better idea of what they're like when I order them online.

  • A must for any knitter visiting London. Oh such pretty pretty yarn and a massive selection of buttons, needles and patterns. Not cheap yarn (I spotted no acrylic in sight) but all beautiful and high quality. Stocks yarns you can't find anywhere else in the UK. Really friendly staff who are happy to give advice and tips. On their recommendation I got some chiaogoo dpns, best decision I've Madeleine for knitting socks- they work a treat!

  • I was so disappointed with my visit a few days ago. It was raining so only half the door was open, the other half was bolted. The step access had no hand rails. During my whole time in the shop, about 20 minutes, I was not greeted by either of the staff, nor was I asked if I needed any help. I was tempted to thank them when I left, but decided that that would be bad mannered. Contrast this with my experience at a yarn shop near Waterloo where I had no trouble spending £150.

  • I am a mail order customer and I have made a couple of orders with Loop.I have called them and emailed them with yarn queries ( mail order can be an issue especially for yarn you cannot view) but they have been exceptionally helpful and really prompt at responding. I love their unique range of quality items.

  • Absolutely one of the best shops in London - not just yarn, but of any type! Always a must when visiting. Yes, it is possible to spend, but the prices are very fair for the quality of products (some yarns are imported and only stocked at Loop for the whole UK). Fabulous staff, a true joy to stop by. And when not in London, their mail-order is spot on too :) Thankyou!!
