Marco Pierre White Steak & Alehouse, London Reviews

  • We were very disappointed they did not cater for halal food. This was given to us as a wedding gift & were told they cater for halal meat with 72 hrs notice. In a city like London where halal meat is available this is disappointing. This would not be my 1st choice. The waiter was seemingly attentive which made up for it. The fish cake was basic with seasoning with a spinach at the bottom in a creamy sauce. The dessert & starter was better than main but this was expected given we were eating vegetarian alternatives at a steak place. The sticky toffee pudding & cheesecake made up for not having any meat. It’s a real shame they do not cater for Muslims.

  • We went for lunch using a Virgin Experience voucher for a three course meal with cocktail. We paid extra for side dishes, coffee and tea (fresh mint). Found the food and service excellent. Look forward to going again without voucher as Lunch Menu looked very inviting.

  • Awesome food great experience too. This was on a voucher experience with virgin and we was treated exactly the same way as everyone else. It comes down to how you treat them. If you are an abrupt person then don't go here. Alex who served us was an awesome waiter and answered my questions I ask. Thank you Alex and thank you to all at London steakhouse . We will be back soon. P.s food was cooked exactly how we like it thank you to the chef's 😊

  • From the outside you would walk by. Most if not everyone there on fixed price menu linked to a day out red letter experience. All sides were £5.50 which were not included in the 3 course menu. Staff attentive, wine list ridiculously over priced. We chose a nice Oz Shiraz which in supermarket would be £7/8 but here it was £38.00. Many wines were £100.00 Or more. Service charge was added at 15% which I failed to notice and was not pointed out and tipped another £10. Bit naughty. So a prepaid fixed menu cost £78.00 once wine sides and sauces added . Enjoyable but would not return.

  • Got this as a gift but I wish we hadn't. My wife's fishcake as a starter was unpleasant. We both ordered steak for our mains. Both steaks were lukewarm and tasteless. You have to pay £6 for extra chips, which weren't anything to write home about. My dessert of sticky toffee pudding was nice but my wife's chocolate cake was too bitter. Overall, this was not an enjoyable meal. The service was very good, which made it hard to complain. For a £70 meal, this place is robbing its customers!
