Selfridges And Co, London Reviews - Write a Review
Just a great department store. Every department has a well chosen range of top brands. Service is helpful, knowledgeable and not at all pushy. Wine shop is not huge but selection is well chosen and prices are not exorbitant. Luggage section is also well chosen. Only slight let down was the children's section which was small and unimaginatively stocked.
As usual lively. I searched London city for a particular nail polish I took a fancy to. They didn't have it despite spending time searching their vast collection and offered me alternative. That's what I call exceptional customer service.
We love Selfridges. Fantastic store to look around. Spent a lot of time looking at the watches. Would be lovely to be able to afford one. The shop was busy, but not too crowded. A must see when you're in London
Ordered a few items on the website to be delivered to the Oxford Street store. And as i was getting ready to go and collect I received an email informing of my order being cancelled and refunded?! I was baffled as I didn’t know what the heck happened. Phoned up to find out what the issue was but nobody could give me a valid reason all they could tell is the order reached the delivery location and it was cancelled and returned. Unhelpful customer service agent advised me to reorder the exact same basket but that would have been impossible as some of the items were out of stock. Now I’m left as confused as I was before I called. And the icing on the cake is they kept admitting they dropped the ball but they wouldn't do good will gesture to keep a customer happy, even though I mentioned it. This morning when I first called to make sure the parcel will be waiting for me to collect, I was assured it will be, hence I got ready to go to the store. Really Selfridges? For a company that prides itself for offering high end products your customer service is at the opposite end of the spectrum. I am sure I’m just another insignificant chip off your money hungry company, but this person here is taking his business elsewhere.
I tried to validate the higher prices on widely available products, but quickly found all the staff were genuinely friendly and knowledgeable. Many of their products don't have price tags which forces you to interact with them. Don't be fooled, you're gonna need money to burn.
