  • Great quality for food for relatively low prices (compares to other places in Covent Garden and London in general). Good variety of food and seating in the main plaza with a good view of what is going on. Pager to collect food from hatch is a nice touch and staff are extremely friendly and helpful; they collected my food and brought it to me at the table in order to save my seat while my friend was elsewhere. A great place to eat in the centre of covent garden and a flexible menu.

  • I actually do enjoy Shake Shack burgers. Visited a few in the States and Japan and the shack burger in Covent Gardens lived up to the expectations I had. The only reason I put a one star is hopes the management see and improve their dismal operations. Over 30 minutes for a single burger. I understand the kitchen can have confusions especially in a busy location like Covent Gardens. But why does the server tell you the wait is 10 min to begin with? If you can't keep up with the orders stop taking them or communicate the situation. Fail at expectation management and you get angry customers. Why is their absolutely no communication going on between the cooks, line management, and the customers? No one seems to know what's going on and on top of that orders are mistaken when it finally comes out. It's not a good set up to see person after person leaving angry and demanding refunds with no supervisor in site to even at least seem like they're trying to alleviate the situation. I felt bad for the aloof part timer trying best to handle the angry customers while not knowing what to do. Shake Shack, if you want to become a global brand, please sort out your operations first or don't even think about expanding. You're making me envy Macdonald which of course, isn't a compliment.

  • Not the best but a very nice burger. Good prices. Nice and quick service. Helpful staff. Great location.

  • Tiny burger, and raw uncooked chips in with the cooked chips. Certainly not worth the £26 I paid, frankly mediocre. For the price, I'd have expected a much better burger, and higher standards of quality - this feels to me to be a definite tourist trap. My recommendation for the price would be to visit Bodeans on Catherine Street, where you'd get a meal served to you, table service, and potentially cheaper also. By the way, had a Peanut Butter milkshake, and a Vanilla milkshake... And they were terrible, horrible horrible taste. A place called shake shack... They can't even make good milk shakes. AVOID!

  • Edit July 17: The experience was worse on second time round. Staff were helpful but Burger was pretty awful. I went into this place expecting it blow other burger places out the water. The chips were awesome, but the burger was nothing special. Try to get a seat here on Saturday night, forget it! Stressful.
