St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London, London Reviews

  • What a great doggy friendly hotel and what a splendid service! We absolutely loved our afternoon tea in the Lounge, especially because our beloved pet was right by our feet, chilling out on the floor! Despite being a busy weekend for mother's day, there was a very beautiful and relaxing atmosphere throughout the hall and so we decided to stay for some wine! This is a gem away from the madness of King's Cross!

  • Great Location - With side entry to St Pancras Station. Small Pool Spa with a lot of chlorine not suitable for swimming and scum marks on the sides. Also a decent Sauna in each changing room. The superior rooms were nice and spacious but on the far side of the hotel. The was no bath, worn towels, sealed Windows, the fridge in the room couldn't be used because it was full of product you couldn't disturb. Also the room wasn't ready until 3.45pm. Breakfast was poor, with fresh salmon left out without being chilled. I've had better breakfasts in Novotel. A 5 Star attitude without the hotel quality to match.

  • The Gilbert Scott bar is one of our favourite places to have a cocktail or two after a day in London. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. They are also knowledgeable about the cocktails and happy to advise and engage in conversation. Our favourite cocktails are the Corpse Reviver 2 and the Ginger Jasmine. The olives and spicy peanuts are great to accompany the cocktails. I would highly recommend this venue.

  • We went for lunch at The Gilbert Scott restaurant with the set three course lunch at £30 per person. The food was superb and my trust for Gluten and dairy free options we noted and catered for very well. The serving staff were very professional and friendly. Afterwards we had cocktails in the bar and enjoyed chatting to the bar man who was very knowledgeable and explained the various drinks available. A very enjoyable afternoon.

  • Although the hotel is rated as a 5-star hotel it feels more like a 3.5 - 4 star hotel. The location is good and that's pretty much the only thing good about this hotel. The furnishing in the room (I stayed the superior king room) seemed quite dated. The bathroom fixtures show signs of rusting. The shower didn't work correctly twice during a 3-day period. There aren't any rooms with good views. Service is pretty bad too. When you request an item from the guest services, they won't send the item. Upon a second request the item will show up right away. This happened regularly. I would certainly not recommend this place for a business stay.
