London Eye is easily one of the most visited attractions in the city of London.

The construction of the London Eye began in the year 1998. Today, the London Eye is a person’s best opportunity to get a breath-taking panoramic view of the city.

The sight of the wheel by itself is something you should definitely not miss out on. But, the 30-minute ride of the entire wheel is another experience altogether. There are also fast track rounds, night rounds and a lot of other plans that they offer so as to make you enjoy the view as well as the ride as per your liking and convenience. Go for a night view, as it is more spectacular and it is comparatively less crowded. The eye is like riding a Ferris wheel in a windowed tube. It doesn’t rotate to fast and gives you the best views of London.

  • Wow. Wow. Wow. I would give unlimited stars if I could! I booked fast track for an evening view of London, and I was not disappointed. While fast track did cost more, me and my boyfriend were straight past the long line, searched and into a pod within six minutes of arriving. Well worth the extra money in my opinion. But the views? Simply breathtaking. Seriously, the pictures and videos don't do justice. It's so peaceful being that high up, yet you see the city still bustling below. The pod has so many clear windows for excellent photo opportunities and is spacious enough for many people inside without feeling claustrophobic. The pace was just right and not once did I feel uncomfortable. I've seen people saying this is a "tourist trap", but I couldn't disagree more. As a Brit myself, I can't recommend you do this attraction enough and hopefully it will shine a light onto why I'm raving about it so much. A truly unforgettable, spectacular experience.

  • The London eye is an iconic landmark on the Thames and at the top you can see from miles around. I went to London with my girlfriend and we were both very excited about going to the eye. The line for tickets was not very long and the ticket agent was very helpful in explaining the type of packages you can purchase for other attractions located nearby. We ended up just getting ticket to the eye and no extra attractions. We went just as the eye opened, so there was almost no line for us to get on. I would advise to visit earlier rather than later as the line does get very long later in the day. The ride does not stop for you to get on, so the staff help you get on at an appropriate time. Overall the whole ride lasts around 25 minutes from when you get on to when you get off. I would recommend taking many photos facing the river as there are many other landmarks like Big Ben, parliament and Buckingham Palace in that direction. The Shard is very visible from the opposite direction of the river. The eye also takes a photo of you when the ride is almost over, which you can purchase later. The virtual eye tour is great as well and would recommend seeing it. Overall this is a must see if you are visiting London.

  • just adding to the mystery. If you go between now and 2020, I recommend looking up chiming times ... it still chimes at certain times, but will be chiming a lot less. Still, we're left with a beautiful structure. You'll be taking pictures of it from every angle. I recommend taking photos of it across the Thames on the South Bank; taking the London Eye and snapping every chance you get on the way up; from Parliament Square; right across the street from the Westminster tube station; from Trafalgar Square (from the right angle, you can get Nelson's Column, down Whitehall with BB in the distance) ...

  • Superb ride. Wonderful entertainment. This is one of London's recognizable business cards! I recommend to everyone. Beautiful views of the old center of London. I advise you to buy tickets in advance on the Internet, it will be cheaper for you. Here you can make vivid and unique photos.
