The Sherlock Holmes Museum, London Reviews - Write a Review
Absolutely incredible, historical museum full of real old antiques. Well done. With a fantastic Sherlock Holmes shop where you purchase your ticket for the museum at £15 per person. Want to visit again. You can take your time and take photos. You cannot touch anything as all old. Check out the old bathroom at the very top floor. It's fantastic. Staff dressed up in old fashioned clothing and all perfectly mannered and friendly. Go there you will love this museum.
This was a unique experience for sure. If you are a Sherlock Holmes fan, you should really stop by and check it out. Just a warning to some, because I did hear people complain about this after the tour, this tour is not based off of the new show, it's based off of the books. Sitting in Sherlock's chair and seeing all of the curiosities laying around truly made this a great experience. The shop has really neat gifts as well.
Would be super cool if you are really into Sherlock Holmes or the Victorian period. The website needs to be updated (I don't think it says to buy tickets in advanced at the gift shop before lining up) and the line was pretty long but the tour itself is not very long. If you don't have time even just go to the gift shop though because it is set up to look very Victorian as well.
It's great for Sherlock stories fans. The queue is really long, go there early in the morning when it's just open is better than in the afternoon time. The place is quite small, enough for about 30 mins or less visit inside. If you are not a fan of Sherlock stories, it's not worth to visit since he queue time can be more than your time spend inside. Better visit the Sherlock gift store next door.
Wonderful attention to detail. Staff dressed in period costumes and very friendly and helpful. It gave a great perspective of living conditions of that time. Great shop with many things to buy related to all things Sherlock.
