Great staff, Super helpful. Love the Guinness from the tap. Sadly some of the popular pies were sold out. But the food was still great. Place is a little of a squeeze do take note if you bringing children.
I went here for a Christmas lunch and had a delicious turkey Xmas pie. Lovely staff and good value for the amount we ate and drank. Will definitely be going back for a pie soon!
I absolutely love the pies here, they are honestly the best you will find in london but the service really brings it down. Often you have to wait ages to get your bill, given how many people get turned away due to lack of tables this really should be something that is turned around faster. A couple of times I ordered the Sunday roast and both times it was missing items stated in the menu. Once, I found a cooking ball in my food which could have easily broken a tooth had I bitten it, to which the staff only gave a weak apology. I may just have been unlucky but if the service improved drastically this pub would be an easy 5/5.
Nice pub in Mayfair with excellent (read standout) pies. This is with the detour for the food, especially given how rare it is to find a pie worth eating these days; even more so given a very central location. Reasonable range of beers too.
Pubs in Central London are always busy but you may find your luck here. Roof terrace, pie room, restaurant and pub area will give you space to choose from. Staff a little inexperienced and food not plasticky and enjoyable. Beer choice is good with local , national and mainstream brands. Not five stars though.
