The Tower Bridge in London is a bascule (movable) bridge, that was constructed in the year 1894, under the chairmanship of Sir Albert Joseph Altman, and was inaugurated by the Prince and Princess of Wales. The bridge is 240m long, with towers as high as 213m. You will get to see an enchanting view of Thames over which the bridge has been built. There are exhibitions organised time and again in the tower to depict the history, design, and utility of the bridge. The tower bridge was a highlight during the London Olympics in 2012, for the way it was adorned and lit up, with Olympic Rings right in the centre. You can’t give The Tower Bridge a miss, given it’s said to be one of the greatest architectural and historical marvels of all times.
