The museum is a must see when at Wimbledon. Learning the history of how it all began. The virtual reality part was really fun but I almost walked right past it without noticing.
The tour of the courts accompanied by an excellent guide well versed with the history of tennis and an ardent Nadal fan was wonderful! It's a beautiful place and a must visit for a tennis fan. The museum showcasing the history of Wimbledon, the kinds of dresses worn over the period by the players, the trophies and a very interesting virtual reality show made the expensive entry worth it.
A memorable experience. A neighbour who ran a pub took myself and a school friend to the tennis grounds when I was at school. We went on Centre Court and even before the roof covers were added, the atmosphere was truly amazing. Awesome. Incredible!! Then we had Pimms with cucumber! And strawberries and cream which is just that but eaten at Wimbledon makes it very special. Seeing players on Centre Court playing tennis has to be experienced. It's like being at an open air theatre but instead of performing you're watching professional tennis at it's best. The next year I went to the Museum shop. It's worth visiting at least once! ! There's so much to take in that you'll want to re-visit it just for the experience!! Now I see they have guided tours!! Which is worth a trip!! Just to take in the atmosphere of pure appreciation.
This is a must visit for all Tennis fans. If you have the time I would highly recommend doing the tour. You can truly feel the history as you are walking around the grounds. The Museum is very interactive, could have spent the whole day there.
What a beautiful place with rich history. Our tour guide was very informative and nice. One of my best experiences in London.
