One of the best aquariums in the country, the Aquarium of the Pacific is a famous for the animals housed in it as well as its scenic location. Many of the inhabitants here are native to the Pacific Ocean. This is also evident by a majority of collections focusing on this one ocean itself. Fish, frogs, and other aquatic animals from the Pacific Ocean occupy the pride of the place. The Sunny California and Baja exhibits are the next popular collections. Let your adrenaline flow in the presence of 150 sharks in the Shark Lagoon. There is a 3 thousand square-feet Lorikeet Forest that is home to five subspecies of the bird. You can interact with the birds and feed them nectar. The aquarium also aims to protect endangered species of wild animals and create awareness amongst visitors to protect these animals. On the front lawns of this aquarium is a garden full of drought-resistant local plants. The garden is a reminder of the take care about the water-shortage problem in California.

Aquarium Of The Pacific, Long Beach Reviews - Write a Review
I love coming here! The exhibits are great for both adults and children. Information is provided to every exhibit, they have a section outside which is a nice change of environment. The only problem I had, was that they have grown in popularity and it gets overly crowded everywhere. Definitely not enough space for adults to enjoy the exhibit, if they are coming to learn and take their time. This is unfortunate especially on the weekends as it is hard to move through literally squeezing though families and strollers to move to the next exhibit. I'd advise adults without children to arrive extra early or attend during the weekdays as the walk ways are LITERALLY flooded with families. If you have kids however, this is a great place to take them!! Bring comfortable shoes for yourself and the little ones, try to keep them with you. It's easy to lose a child with all the chaos.
Great family activity for reasonable price. Don't plan on eating there, it gets busy and service is slow, food not great. Eat at one of the many restaurants nearby. Kids love to play in the outdoor play area, with water streams to cool off and animal figures to climb on. If you have time, you can also get a Queen Mary ticket with your Aquarium ticket for a discount. They're right next to each other and parking is good for the day.
Beautiful and amazing! Fun for the entire family! We went on a Thursday so it was not crowded. We were able to take our time and enjoy seeing all the different critters. Informational and interactive. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff! Highly recommend!
So many exhibits. And the kids loved it because they had so many touch pools and little presentations you could watch/ listen to. We enjoyed feeding the birds so much. It's free to walk through the bird cage but you have to pay to free them. We loved all of it, took us almost 3 hours.
This place is awesome! They have a wide variety of fish here and so much to learn about them. They also have a bird exhibit which is super cool too. They have different touch pools where the kids can all go and interact with the aquatic life. At the entrance they have the scuba diving show, its a really big tank and they teach both kids and grown ups so much about the fishes. I was let a bit down on the size of the aquarium though i expected to see bigger fish and a few more exhibits but with what they have they kind of made up for it i deffinately loved the experience of coming here in my overall opinion.
