Belmont Shore is a neighbourhood close to Naples Island in Long Beach. Bordered by the Pacific Ocean in the west and the city on the east, this neighbourhood is one of the prime residential and beach activity zones in Long Beach. Training to handle a boat is provided by Leeway Sailing and Aquatics Center and the US Sailing Center. The Veteran’s Memorial Pier offers wonderful views of sunset over the city. You will often see kite surfers thanks to the steady winds on the beach. The dog beach is located in this neighbourhood. Swimming is another common activity on the beach strip. Explore the entire seaside on bicycle tracks. Every year, the Long Beach Sea Festival is held on the beach strip of Belmont Shore. In September every year, the neighbourhood hosts the Belmont Shore Car Show.
