Erskine Falls, Lorne Reviews
It was a lovely autumn day to visit the Falls. Although it hadn't rained much recently there was still some water falling... walk was easy to get to falls downhill with boardwalk platform or rock walking option for those wanting to get closer to falls. (Harder for those uphill to carpark) Information signs at entrance, mostly about history, wildlife etc. Parking can be an issue on weekends and holidays.
My partner and I were in the area and saw a sign for Erskine Falls pop up so thought let's go and check it out. Was definitely worth it. I think the water levels weren't as high as they are at other times of the year due to it being the end of the summer/start of autumn (not as much rain). It would be a great place to bring kids to if you wanted to and looks like there are walking tracks around it. The walk up might get you a bit puffed but otherwise the walk down to the falls is quite easy. The falls itself were quite nice too and were quite popular. We were there on a Saturday.
Walks were well paved and signed making it an easy stroll down the steps to the beautiful waterfall. Great experience at this place, I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area 😊
Visited on a rainy day, a little amount of steps but it wasn't slippery, and wasn't exhausting at all. It was easy to get to. Suitable for all age groups - young and old.
Well worth the visit and doing the steps. There are just over 240 steps down to the viewing point at the base. There's another viewing area part way down. The best is viewing from the base. The falls are about a 100 foot drop. They are the tallest in that area. We enjoyed our visit.
