Ahmanson Theatre basically stands as one of the main venues for Los Angeles Music Centre. The Theatre is dedicated to the wife of the man who funded this theatre. His name was Howard F Ahmanson. The name of his second wife was Caroline Leonetti Ahmanson and it was in her honor. It took about 5 years to be made and the construction spanned between 1962-1967. There was a need felt to renovate this theatre in the 90s and has been successful ever since. Today you will find the best of musicals and other performances presented here and if you do have the time, then try to catch a show.

Ahmanson Theatre Reviews & Ratings
Simple performance arts venue housed within a much larger and classier complex. But no one will come here to see the building, you are here for the show and that I don't know how it will be. They do make the effort to offer some post show discussions with the performers which is a fun time
Great place in the middle of the Downtown cultural and arts district, right next to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion with endless parking, escalators and more than ample walking and sitting areas. The theatre itself is a nice size - not huge but also not tiny. Just the right size for a great crowd but with no real bad seats. It's very close to major freeways and there are a lot of street angles from which to leave the place so there isn't much worry about being stuck in endless traffic in or out. Overall it is a great place to see a show and I had a great time.
It's a great place to see a performance. Loved the show. The atmosphere is very chill and chic and the same time. there's plenty of options for food and over all a nice place to spend an evening with friends or with a date.
Great theatre, seats are comfortable even for bigger guys like me. Parking is right under the theater and food available around the place within walking distance. Saw a couple of famous faces dinning on a Friday night.
Loved it! The seats are roomy and the place is so up to date. The only problem I see is when they have the bar open they need more than one person working behind the bar. The lines are really long. Make sure to get there a little early so you can enjoy your seats
