I arrived 45 minutes before closing. When I came through the entry gate to the lot the attendant asked me for three dollars. I've never been charged to park here and I'll be damned if I pay three dollars for parking at this location. Previously my ticket would you'd be validated and there was never a charge. So I going to the restaurant and I wait for my turn and I tell the young lady at the register that I wish to place an order to go. Her response was that it would take 45 minutes to receive my to go order. So I ask her how long will it take if I dine in instead. So I Ask her if that includes waiting in line to be seated. She tells me that she's going to go back in the kitchen and check on that 45 minutes for a to go order and then she proceeds to pick up and take a check to one of the tables across the restaurant. I asked her hey didn't you say you were going to go in back and check right now about my wait time and you know you're dealing with me right now why are you making me wait while you go attend to something else. I've eaten here in the past and have enjoyed the food but today's experience was lousy from start to finish. The young lady was sarcastic and did not treat me as a valued customer. Now I have to go find something else to eat because I opted not to place an order. Extremely disappointed.
Been coming here ever since I was a little kid when they first had their location in Monterey Park. I always get their chicken bowl with spam musubi. Would recommend get the braised short ribs back though! :P
One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. Great for breakfast or lunch, and don't forget to check the specials for island favorites that you won't find on the menu. It's not the quickest place but they're always friendly!
First time eating here and I loved it. Staff is friendly amd I enjoyed what I ordered. They have breakfast served all day too. I ordered the Komai's big breakfast and I loved it. See my pic for what the dish looked like.
4/21/2016 I never write reviews but today was just horrible. Two new girls I have never seen were working today. I had called four times and decided to walk to check it out. It was open. I called when I was in there and they are ignoring the phone they can quickly anwser but choose to ignore it. Horrible. A lady that had been eating cuts in front of me to pay I tell them i was there and I want to order. There response is they were sitting. I guess that's why we do line ? Wasn't fair!!! She charged two more customers before she was ready for me. The phone is still ringing. I tell her i want a chicken teriyaki. Her response they were out. I called five minutes later and the other girl anwser I remeber the voices and she says i can place the order we have chicken. Bad treatment ever. Of course I didn't order. I work right across always order food around this time. So sad. The food is great. The ladies worst custoner service ever.
