Greystone Mansion And Gardens, Los Angeles Reviews
My cousin had her wedding here on the first Saturday of July. This place was a picture-perfect image of a classy and elegant setting for a wedding. The wedding took place outdoors on a beautiful grass area overlooking the city of Los Angeles. Due to the sun, they had little white umbrellas made of bamboo and paper for the guests which I thought was pretty neat. The wedding party took place outside in a courtyard that made me feel like we were in Europe. The food, the bar, and the DJ lit up the scene. The warm summer breeze, the european-like setting, and the courteous waiters made the experience memorable. The only thing that bugged me was the fact that you couldn't smoke anywhere near the mansion. That includes the park that surrounds it. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a wedding.
Very unhappy with this place. It was my wedding day, so we went to this place to take some pictures, while enjoying our walk we took some pictures, then a security approaches us and says we need a license to take pics. First of all we never though we need it a license to take pics from our own phones. He said you need it a permit which cost like 250 bucks. When we looked for a park to take pics, this place came out and it never mentioned that. Bad advertising. So we had to leave. It took us forever to get here.
Famous Hollywood Mansion...YES PLEASE!! we went for the open house. it was very well done. The house is like a living movie museum . so many famous films were made here . they did a good job of showing what movies took place in different parts of the house. the grounds and gardens are stunning on their own. dont miss the turtle pond!
Nice place with an interesting history, owned by the city - really liked the views. Grounds are well kept overall, would not call them immaculate but pretty good for being open to the public most of the time. Would love to attend an event here.
Beautiful estate symbolizing the excesses and wealth of the LA oil barons. It kind of like having a little Versailles in Southern California. Unfortunately we didn't go on a day where you can go inside and see how the big lebowski lived--will have to be on the next visit. Great place to take pictures!
