SS Lane Victory is not actually a lane, as it may sound like one. S. S Lane Victory is a ship that is docked in the San Pedro Area of Los Angeles. It was basically a ship that was used in Second World War. It was also used in the Vietnam War, and then the Korean War. The efforts to make the ship a museum began in the year 1989 and today it stands as a remembrance of the bravery that the wars were fought with and also the involvement of the Navy in the winning of the wars.

  • Ship a lot more awesome than most people might think. You can tour the engine room easily. See what WWII Merchant Marine had to deal with. Many more of these guys died than US Navy. Two Great Museums on board! Good volunteer crew. Awesome History!

  • My son's and I were in the LA waterfront area and randomly came across the Lane Victory and glad we did. Self guided tours which was nice because you had no rush, you could take your time. It has two museums so plenty info to retain.

  • This place was awesome!! So cool to read about ships that attacked enemy’s and other war related stuff. The scenery way beautiful!

  • I went for an event over the Labor Day weekend and had a great time! The ship is a floating museum and the event was fantastic! I'd definitely come back!

  • This is a Southern Ca treasure... Bring your kids, it's a unique experience they'll never forget.
