  • Such an awesome experience! It's a book lovers dream! They have an amazing selection of books as well as an awesome upstairs with local art, stores and gifts you can buy. A great way to support your local artists and business owners. Such a neat treasure hidden in downtown of all places. You could get lost in there without trying. If you have a free afternoon I highly recommend it!

  • Quite possible the greatest book store on earth. The first floor is a cornucopia of new and used books. By and large you can find a used book here at 50% off and a great collection of new books. Records and comic books also abound. The second floor is the treat. The store used to be a bank so there are ancient safe rooms that are themed and a maze of books from everything. Crazy are book designs and some nice mini stores. We go here now over Barnes and noble because we getter price for books new and used. Defiantly make this a visit when going downtown.

  • My first time visiting was tonight, for a live poetry reading by Bill Ward from Black Sabbath, along with his Drum Art. This bookstore is very large, with a huge selection of new and used books. There are many different sections in this bookstore, and each corner or individual "nook" is designed differently from the others, and they're all interesting to come across. This bookstore has 2 stories, high ceilings, long-winding halls and really fun, unique and quirky decor and design layout. Everyone here is knowledgeable and helpful and interesting to talk to. I had the most wonderful time exploring here, and I could easily see spending an entire day or two in here, just wandering around and being completely engrossed in everything this place has to offer. You definitely should come visit this place, you will not be disappointed!!!

  • This place is a haven for book lovers. Real books. No kindles. They have a huge selection of new and used books. I browsed for about an hour before buying 4. Extra weight for my flight back to NZ, but totally worth it. The store is housed in an old bank, so upstairs there are some very cool books and crannies. The horror section is in a vault. Great place to immerse yourself in books for a while.

  • This is a really cool bookstore in downtown Los Angeles. You have to check in any bags at the front so they minimize the amount of theft. They have a lot of cool books and games at fair prices. You could spend hours in there! I was particularly impressed with the second floor section as well as the comic book/manga section. It's got sweet vibes with great customer service so go check it out!
