Venice Beach, Los Angeles Reviews - Write a Review
What a gem. I LOVE Venice Beach and every time I visit my relatives in LA I make sure to go there. The people are friendly and the shops are just amazing. There are so many entertaining street performers too. Definitely a MUST when you visit LA.
Locals may refer to this place as California's version of Europe's Venice but there's really no comparison. Venice Beach is just a tiny portion of the unincorporated city with the same name and most activities are limited to the beach boardwalk. It is said to attract more than 20,000 people daily. Maybe true on weekends but last Tuesday when my friends and I visited the place, only a few people were around. Some of them were having a tan in the white sand, a few were on surfboards, and still others were busy having a catch at the far end of the pier. Amenities include a place to skate, showers, bike path, sports court, and others that are open to the public. The following photos were taken during earlier weekend visits.
Great place for an entertaining walk, something for everyone. I really enjoyed getting off the main path and seeing the small alley shops - during the day, you don't see on beach front side. It's a collection of everything California.
Great place to keep active! Walk, bike, scooter, and/or skate up and down the beach! If you don't have any of these don't worry! There are many rental shops up and down the beach! Amazing view when the sun sets!
What a BEAUTIFUL place. So much culture and one of the nicest beach areas I've ever been too. Easy to spend at least a day here exploring and swimming. If you're in the area, it is a must see!!
