The Cherokee Park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and is often mistaken as the National park of Louisville, even though its vast area and highly maintained greens might suggest just that!
The park has its own beautiful bridge, serene green gardens and trees which are loved for its lushness. A common haunt by locals during summers, you will often find joggers meandering through its highlight- A 2.4-mile Scenic Loop with a distinguished lane for vehicular traffic.
The park also hosts regular events while on weekends, families love to have a picnic here.

Cherokee Park Reviews & Ratings
Beautiful and family friendly. Has a little of everything for the nature lovers. Runners will have plenty of challenging climbs, bikers and hikers have good option for trails and plenty of spaces for dogs and kids to play. It is the perfect park for the Highlands.
The bathrooms are decent, I've only been in the women's restroom mind you. Need more tho throughout the park. Nice play area and the water feature for ppl with children. Decent park to bring your dog(s).
Love this park. Great for running and walking, with lots of shaded paths. The Golf Course is where I spend most of my time. This year it is exceptionally well groomed, and tee times have been spaced well. The course if tight, so unless you are confident in your big stick, you may want to play for strategy, not distance.
Beautiful place! But I went to an event here and they don't have enough parking. The road is one way and you have to go all the way around to try to find a parking in your area since the next area is way to far. The gazebo, playground and splash pad where excellent plus so much shade. Beisdes the parking I love it!
Love this park. Off road paths and paved paths. Nice covered meeting space, splash pad, swings, and restrooms. Trees are lovely.
We was wanting some information about the Park, like does it have a pavilion in the picnic area, and a play area. We was wanting to have a Family Picnic July 2019, for about 60-80 family members.Answer Report Abuse
