  • Great place to enjoy nature with family and friends. The first thing i wanted to let you know is that IT IS NOT A COMPLETE INDOOR ZOO. If your planning to go in winter make sure you carry all your sweaters and jackets along with you. Some animals are inside the glasses but some animals like tiger, elephant and few other animals are placed outdoor. The animals were so close and all very clearly well cared for. There's snakes, tortoises, lizards, and basically every reptile you could possibly think of! Their large array of animals amazed me. You could spend a good hour and a half just walking around and admiring these creatures. There are sinks and proper hand sanitizing stations throughout the place. Even in December we were able to do and experience so much! I think each animal could use a pool of water to play in and cool off in during the hot summer days. Especially All of the staff.....from check in, vendors, exhibits, EVERYONE.....were so wonderful! We will be back to check out the new construction. I loved all the animals, wish I worked there.I am also sharing few pics of this place. If my review is helpful do like it !!!! thanks bye bye ...

  • We went during “winter” so the tickets are cheaper and less people. There was a large area closed for construction and lots of animals were off habitat (to be expected). One restaurant was open so you couldn’t get snacks anywhere. All rides were closed. If you love the cold weather animals then it should be fine. It was about 65 that day pretty warm but still lots of animals were gone. Habits are a bit run down looking. Hope they are doing a big overhaul soon. The zoo in Fort Wayne Indiana is much better than this. I will go again in the summer hope it will be better. We enjoyed all the animals that were out especially the polar bear. That exhibit is pretty fun. I loved the window below water level. We got to see it swim and play. Great idea.

  • I came here for my daughters field trip. It was awesome she loved it. We enjoyed ourselves and took lots of photos. I also bought small gem rocks at the gift shop on my way out for her table size water fountain she loves it.

  • Attended Halloween Party. Characters were really awesome. Staff was abundant and friendly. Kids got some candy, but not a lot. Enough to make it worth while for them, but no candy left over for the parents :-). Bring a camera, take your time and make memories! Traffic was existing, but managed very well.

  • Another great Halloween visit on what's become an annual tradition! You really can't beat this experience for kids - the Zoo does a great job at providing a memorable experience at a reasonable price. We didn't like that all the traffic was forced down Poplar this year - whose decision was it to close all the side roads, such as Illinois Ave.? That is our biggest negative, as it delayed entry into the Zoo by more than 30 minutes.
