Situated on the site side of the town of Luang Prabang along the banks of Mekong river is the Ban Chan Pottery Village where local make and sell pottery, bricks and terracotta tiles. The village has approximately 300 inhabitants who collect the raw material from nearby areas to create their product. The oven used to bake the pots have to be lighted for over 3 days to reach the right temperature. With some help from the locals, you can even try your hand at some pottery.
