Wat Nong Sikhounmuang, a Buddhist temple situated in the town of Luang Prabang, has one of the largest pagodas in Luang Prabang. This pagoda is designed richly in stencils and is inspired by the Vientiane architecture. The roof of this temple is gilded and is built in layers while the walls and pillars are covered in gold plated designs. You will surely be impressed by the grandeur of this temple. The temple has a few small gardens around it and offers a very peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The stairs are decorated gilded serpents which has a traditional significance in the Lao culture.
