  • NEGLECTED!!!! Prairie Dog Town has been here forever. I it so sad that the City if Lubbock has let this great attraction fall into ruins. The walls are crumbling there is stickers EVERYWHERE. So, be careful when you take the little ones. You would think that with an enclosed attraction that someone would have thought of a water source for the prairie dogs but they didn’t. It is more of an embarrassment than a attraction for the city of Lubbock. The Prairie Dogs are very friendly and quite entertaining. Hey, City of Lubbock just another wasted opportunity to make this city better for all the tourists and residents. It doesn’t make money so they don’t care!!! B

  • Was so much fun! Go during the fall or winter. Summer and spring get pretty windy in Lubbock making the sand blow and it isn't as enjoyable, also bring carrots they love them.

  • This was an awesome place to come at the end of our Lubbock trip. Great for kids. The cute prarie dogs are so friendly and not afraid to come up to you for a snack. I could spend all day here, but it was too hot and not enough shade.

  • This is one of those places that anyone who lives in Lubbock should see. Not so much because it is a big attraction or anything like that, but because this is somewhat unique to Lubbock. Prairie Dog Town is essentially an open field where prairie dogs live. Fun place take small children. My daughter enjoyed watching prairie dogs doing their thing.

  • Be careful when driving past the baseball field. The tunnels go out past the "town". These little guys are cute though. They're used to people being around and just go about their business.
