How to Reach Lucca

Pisa Galileo Galilei International Airport has a rail station attached and is a mere 20 minutes from Lucca.  The rail station is just outside the old town walls and there is a bus that goes straight from Pisa Airport to Lucca, the trip is scenic and takes about fifty minutes – Lucca travel guides generally recommend this. Driving inside the walls is reserved for residents but you can park outside in designated parking areas.

Lucca has small buses that run throughout the city which is a great way to explore the city once you are there. The Lucca bus station has frequent buses to every part of the city.
