Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort And Spa, Lucea Reviews
The resort is on its own peninsula in a secure and secluded section of the island. The whole resort is reminiscent of old plantation style buildings with high ceilings and lots of open air areas. The pools are beautiful blue and clean. The private beach is can and inviting. Drinks can be found everywhere in any of the 13 bars including pool side. The food in all of the restaurants are top notch and delicious.
2nd time visitor. Resort is always kept immaculate and that includes all of the restrooms around the entire place. The only reason I've marked it down is simply that the food wasn't as good as last time as whilst there was plenty of it, it was the same food every day. Last year they had themed food events each night which was amazing. Various pools are stunning and the beach is on the doorstep ready to explore the various creatures of the sea.
I visited the Grand Palladium in Lucea, Jamaica on a business trip in February 2018 but unfortunately the trip was too short for me to thoroughly enjoy all the excitement the resort has to offer. I didn't have time to dine at any of the many a la carte restaurants but I was well pleased with the variety of sumptuous food available in the buffet area. I had fun making my own meals...as they say, variety is the spice of life. The room was pretty decent, though the bed was not as firm as I'd want it and the hot tub was "hot". The bar in my room was not stocked and I asked the bell man to report it to the front desk but for some reason no one came. That was the only negative aspect I found during my short stay. The nightly entertainment was good which starts about 9 pm and the entire property was throbbing with activities the entire time. It's a large property and there are carts that take you to your destination or close enough to it. There is so much more that could be enjoyed but as i said, the time was too short.
My Aunt (my mothers sister)passed on Tuesday morning. I tried calling the number that was provided Tuesday and Wednesday. It rings, the representative starts talking and then the line disconnect. Well someone finally decides to email me back today, after I decided to email on yesterday. The guy in his emails says he sorry for my loss but I would still be held accountable. I live in Maryland and as of today we still haven't been able to get her funeral finalized because of her insurance people. I can't still attend a this trip because i was due to leave today and don't know when I would need to be back by. This is my Anniversary weekend and that's why we were going away. Now I know that hotels do make understand. From what he is saying I'm still going have to pay for one night. This didn't make my day any easier.
It's a lovely place to stay, the food is great and evening entertainment is great too. Unfortunately the weather wasn't too great as it rained most of the week, so not much to do during the day. Overall our experience was great, the staff are always happy to help in whatever way they can. The different choices of food where great. Kids club was also handy to have an hour to chill and not worry about the children. Will hope to visit again when we come back to Jamaica. Thanks to all staff who had been ever so helpful during our stay.
