Open to the public since 2002, the location of the Sammlung Rosengart Collection was a branch of the Swiss National Bank, a beautiful neoclassical building that dates back to early 19th century. For anyone with even the basic knowledge of artwork from the 19th and 20th century, this museum will bring you pure joy. All the works of art here are a part of a family’s private collection amassed by a father-daughter pair; they sought out these masterpieces not for its monetary value but for their individual taste and preferences in art. The legends of that era are very well represented here, one in particular being Pablo Picasso.

Museum Sammlung Rosengart Luzern, Lucerne Reviews - Write a Review
Amazing place in terms of art but the woman who works at the tickets counter was one of the most rudest people I have ever encountered. My nieces were so upset by her behavior and the whole experience left us a bad taste. Did not even assist when we asked to charge our phones (and we were clearly tourists). Really a shame.
Loved it. An excellent collection of Picasso's.
Full of wonder, extraordinary, beyond words. Magic.
Terrible. I have been visiting lots of art galleries where I write a review for A level art History. Over my life I have visited over 50 art galleries, and this is by far the worst. First point, no photos can be taken, which I understand, however that is annoying for me as I need to take photos for extra marks rather than copying and pasting from the internet. So I was told off, and instead had a curator continually follow me around thee gallery which made me very uncomfortable. The layout of the gallery is awful, with carpets with stains on and every room was so bland. I visited the picasso exhibition, who I admire, but none of his well known artworks were in there which I expected, but I felt like it was a waste of time. Overall, if you are the dullest person, you would probably enjoy this art gallery, but if your like me, then it gets boring after seeing the first yellow wall.
Amazing collection of mastepieces! It was late afternoon in the middle of travel and we were tired, but it was completely refreshing.
