Rumi Darwaza, Lucknow Reviews
Rumi Darwaza ....a one of the most historic place of Lucknow..... a good place of tourism attraction..... Great work of ancient art can easily see on walls ....
Rumi Darwaza is a great monument and a spectacular gateway of Lucknow. It was built by Nawab Asaf ud daula of Awadh in 1784. A must visit for tourists.
An insignia of Lucknow, Roomi Darwaza is a must visit monument. The doorway is very artistically decorated with a cupola adorning at the top. The whole doorway is fringed tastefully constructed lotus-petals. It is a part of the whole "Imambara" precinct and presents a spectacular sight. In winter season during a foggy night it appears surreal.
Rumi Darwaja, also known as Turkish Gateway, gives admission to the outer ward of the Bara Imambara.Considered to be a facsimile of one of the gates of Constantinople, it remains the most expressive example of the spirit of Awadh architecture.Magnificent structure..
