Lake Lugano Reviews & Ratings
Lake Lugano is so pristine and beautiful! The water is glassy and reflective. The area is a mixture of Swiss and Mediterranean styles, which makes it interesting. We took a boat to Gandria and had lunch. Walked along the lake shore, and just enjoyed the beauty of this area. A highlight of our trip.
Lake Lugano is a magnificent lake which is situated on the border between southern Switzerland and Northern Italy. Beautiful lake with breath taking views specially in the summer with lots of options for recreation & food all around it. Lake Lugano is a glacial lake with mesmerizing panoramic scenery. Mesmerizing sceneary, bordering Italy it provides a breath taking views in the summer. Would recommend it to any one.
I had the good fortune to live and study in northern Italy for six years. I visited Lake Lugano a number of times during my sojourn there. Situated in southern Switzerland, just over the border from Italy, it consists of a serene lake surounded by a rustic village. The lakeside area is studded with cafes and bistros, embellished with tropical palm trees. I remember relaxing while sipping an espresso at a cafe and enjoy the view of snow capped mountains that enveloped the town Reminiscent of Brigadoon, an experience that comes once in a century, it is a dream that intoxicates all who visits it. Time stands still and it is a reverie one never wants to wake from.
Wow beautiful and pristine. Not been there physically. But seen it in great details on the web. Lovely place to visit. And my daughter is there studying. So may visit one day.
