About Segari Turtle Sanctuary, Lumut

This is the place where you will find the green sea turtles of Malaysia. If you happen to be in Perak, you cannot afford to miss this incredible place. This place is the result of the initiatives taken by the Malaysian government to provide a natural habitat for the green sea turtles as only 7 species are left today. This sanctuary is home to these species of turtles that are getting extinct slowly. They include Leatherback, Green, Hawksbill, and Olive Ridley turtles. The sanctuary also has turtle exhibits that provide plenty of information about turtles.

  • Special place for turtles...come here and enjoy the view turtles and beach so beatiful n bring happiness...come all of you...

  • Decent place too visit even less maintenance from management...

  • small decent place for learning about sea turtles..downside is that there is rarely a tour guide here. current site for newly hatched turtle is under construction. road signs are poor. look up for baitul hilal instead. its near by.

  • Very nice and interesting place for kids and families....

  • Quiet and peaceful beach turtle sanctuary. Nice experience to see sea turtles swimming up close, educational as it has swam unchanged among dinosours‚Äč million of years ago. Kids will be thrilled and curious.
