The museum of ancient tombs is a museum devoted to exhibit ancient tombs. Located at the Mang Hill, in the north of Luoyang city, it covers an area of around 7.4 acres. The museum is housed in a compound of magnificent buildings built in the Han Dynasty architectural style. It is divided into two parts; the Upper level and the Underground level. Along with the ancient tombs from different dynasties, the museum also displays many burial models and tools and Life size wax statues of a grand mourning ceremony, to let the visitors get a glimpse of the ancient techniques. Many beautifully painted murals, precious relics and pottery figures are also on exhibit at the museum. Highlights and must sees include:

• The museum is located very close to Luoyang airport. You can plan a small outing here, when you are on a short stayover at the Luoyang airport.
• Entry is free.
