Set a little outside of the city, the Temple of Seti  is named in honour  of the ruler who started the construction of the temple but did not finish it. Not as frequented by tourists as the other temples, this temple is a little depleted and is used as a quarry by the local people. The walls of the ruined hypostyle hall still have retained some of their carvings showing both Ramses II and Seti I with the gods.

Temple Of Seti I Reviews & Ratings

  • Interesting temple similar to the extend of the rammesseum but far less travelled. Interior has a lot of well preserved hieroglyphics however most color has faded from the temple Incl. the interior. Highly recommended just across the roundabout where it's heading off to the kings valley.

  • If you finished all the sightseeing in luxor and still have time you may visit it's good.

  • Nice place, Historical asset. It is spread on a large area of approximately 800 meter circumference. best time to vsit the place is after sunset (Maghrab Prayer). It gives amazing look due to lighting effects. You can witness free from road side, but to enter one has to buy tickets.

  • Great art from Seti and massive art from his son, Raises II. Very interesting and unique.

  • Better preserved temple than a lot of others. Not popular with tourists for some reason but I liked it.
