Grand Prix Museum - Review

The Grand Prix Museum is homage to the biggest and most exciting racing event in Formula three, the Macau Grand Prix. The Museum has been built as a side attraction to the Macau circuit.

Even if you cannot catch a race at the circuit you can experience its fast pace at the museum. There are several objects including formula three cars, cups as well as other memorabilia that is worth a look. If you like car racing you are sure to enjoy this but even if you don’t the collection is sure to inspire fascination.

From the f1 car belonging to the late AyrtonSenna to the old Toyota cars, there is a lot of interesting stuff to see here. If at all you like formula 1 this definitely should not be missed. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Macau Itinerary 3 Days.

Grand Prix Museum, Macau Reviews

  • A stop by the Grand Prix Museum (free entry) is always a great way to spend 30 minutes or so when visiting Macau and is there any better time to visit then during Grand Prix weekend? We stopped by during the midday race intermission last weekend and, as usual, just loved looking over these fantastic race cars. They are so photogenic and nice to see. It doesn’t hurt that this museum is free to visit but I often wonder if visiting this museum will ever grow old. In addition to more recent cars that performed here in Macau, there are some historical cars that saw time on the Guia course as well as a couple classic streetcars. We love the nice Ford Model T. Interestingly, we found that the (free) Wifi Go was carrying a much stronger signal and was much faster than during past visits. This was a nice little discovery made during our last trip to the Grand Prix Museum. In our opinion, the Grand Prix Museum is a top five museum and makes an easy inclusion on your to do/see list of attractions for Macau, even for those on the shortest of trips to the city. You can make your was here quite easily from the main ferry terminal, just 8-10 minute away. Also, you can visit the Wine Museum which is just across the hall way from the Grand Prix Museum, this is another good way to spend 30 minutes or so and enjoy a bit of wine tasting while in the city.

  • Nice place to visit and the staff is really friendly!

  • Closed since 1july 2017. They couldn't confirm when they will reopen again

  • Free when we went. Nice racing car and bike. Not so big. The wine museum is ok unless you know how wine is made!!

  • love this place.. a lot of race cars.. also part of the history feature a Filipino Driver.
