If you love the tiny, colourful butterflies then Wings of Mackinac Butterfly Conservatory, on Mackinac Island is where you can meet the species and know a lot about them. The conservatory has some 100 species of butterflies in a unique, green environment. As you walk in the conservatory is a pristine looking space with butterflies fluttering on plants. The curator is knowledgeable and patiently takes you around the place, explaining about the different species of butterflies. The place has a water fountain and a sitting area to just sit and soak in the calm atmosphere. There is also a gift shop to buy cuter memorabilia.
