The Fountain of Diana and Actaeon is located at the Palace of Caserta, and is centered around a beautifully chiselled white sculpture. The scene depicts the legend of Diana and Actaeon, and has dramatic scenes depicted beautifully in stone. The Palace itself is said to be one of the oldest and largest palaces in Italy at the time it was built. Today, the fountain and the palace are reminiscent of the grander times the place has seen, and provide a nice window to the glorious past. The fountain itself is a marvelous piece of stellar workmanship and artistic impressions, where even the expressions of characters is beautifully etched in stone. This is a must see!
