‘Abbi’ means ‘waterfall’ in the local Coorgi language. Abbey falls are Coorg’s star attraction because of their joyous silver cascade that gushes down to about 70 feet below. The route to the falls is through beautiful coffee plantations and provides the perfect beginning to the beautiful sight that slowly unfolds in front of your eyes. Well maintained and extremely popular, these falls are a must visit in the monsoons. Feel gentle sprays splash across your face as you become a part of this glorious show of nature.

  • Wear comfortable shoes and carry an umbrella.

  • Reach the falls in a taxi or private car.

  • One of the famous waterfalls in this area. It is situated in a dense coffee plantation and well maintained with steps guiding to the falls. There is ample parking place for 4 wheelers and you will enough snacks and food, toilet to refresh here.

  • * Officials are strict enough ensuring safety when water falls are on high force. * If allowed, we can definitely enjoy and have bath here. * Clean water and neatly maintained. * Come with your family/friends, enjoy the breeze and beauty of the nature.

  • One of few good waterfall I have come across, from the entry point a few 100's meter walking down to this scenic water fall. As you get closer and closer you can hear the sound of gushing water which makes you more excited. The best time is during the rainy season with really good torrent of water coming down which really makes a breathtaking view. Beware of spiders over there its big and scary, yet friendly :P check it out in my pictures. Eateries are available on the start point and please keep the place clean.

  • A place of scenic beauty and photography. Very convenient and well fenced for even elders to walk down and up. But you have no access to water (if that's what you are expecting, don't have such hopes). Nice pics can be taken at this place

  • Nice waterfall best time to vist would be post rainy season with the waterfall having a heavy flow. I even got to see a recent land slide that had happened right next to the falls. To get to the falls you have to walk through a concrete path between coffee estate. A nice view point is also elevated near the falls. There is a complete fencing close to the waterfall for visitors but its close enough to see the view of the waterfall.
