Iruppu Falls, Madikeri Reviews
Awesome place where kids and elders can enjoy well for few hours forgetting the world & getting along with nature. Need to trek for about a km where the entrance fee is Rs.50/- Vehicle parking is found. Only a small hotel is found with limited menu along with beverages. Quite difficult for elderly people as the steps are steep at places. Changing room for ladies is found on the way. Water is so pure and you can feel the freshness when it pours down with full speed. There are planks kept to hold onto and walk to enjoy the falls. But do watch our for the slippery stones, water insects & small fish. There's a small bridge to cross to reach the falls which makes it more special.
Super place and good and very cool atmosphere. Very cold water, we can feel it. December and January are best time to come here. Very safe place, but take always a care. Enjoy it very much.
Need to trek for some 1KM to reach to the waterfall. Worth every step you take. The route takes you through the natural beauty of trees and flowing water all along. Atop, the gorgeous waterfalls stands. One of the waterfalls which you can go very close. Water flow is good during monsoons. And the purity of the water there is better than any purified water we get outside. Yumm..
High speed gush of water literally makea you shiver to get into the water. Be careful of leaches here , and snakes too. Though its pretty safe to play in the water i would advice caution to anyone not used to getting inside uncharted water. Place is quite scenic and beautiful.
It’s a good place for a one time visit and taking bath. Though there could be allergy issues as the water source is completely wild. The best timings to visit are before 8 am as post this time, there’s a lot of crowd.
