Iruppu Falls - Review
Situated around 90 minutes’ drive from Coorg, the Iruppu Falls are a major tourist attraction, especially in the monsoons. Located in the Brahmagiri Range, the waterfalls are surrounded by dense vegetation. Also a pilgrimage spot, you will find a Shiva temple en route to the falls. This temple attracts a lot of devotees during Shivratri. Trivia: According to a legend, Lord Ram and his brother Lakshman passed this spot while on their search of Sita. Lakshman shot an arrow into the Brahmagiri hills and brought into being the river Lakshmana Tirtha when Ram asked him to fetch some water. Due to this legend, it is believed that the waters of the Iruppu Falls are magical and can cleanse sins.

Iruppu Falls, Madikeri Reviews
I well marketed place by the local government invites a lot of tourists to this place. There is a nominal charge of 50/- per adult and 30/- per child. The place is about 15 minutes walk through the jungle from the parking area. The chirping of birds and variety of butterflies keeps you entertained through your walk. The access to the waterfall is very safe as they have iron platform installed which ensures no one gets injured due to slippery stones. Nice place to visit and enjoy the massage under falling water.
The beauty of the place is lies in the closeness to the waterfall. You can practically hop on to a rock and get wet. The vibes are really nice with a peaceful surrounding. The birds chirping, insects buzzing and the sound of water splashing onto the rocks make you feel extremely close to nature. The climb up to the waterfall is worth it.
Good waterfalls. There was very little water in April. Otherwise have heard it's a good falls and quite steep. You will have to walk a lot to even get a glimpse of the waterfalls. At present we couldn't see any other option than walking. Vehicles should be parked about a 1.5-2km behind. Bit slippery at few places. The walk is quite good amidst nature but not shady the entire stretch.
Well a must see spot to go. The flow of the water is amazing. No restrictions are there for going inside and taking a bath but be careful from the slippery rocks deep down in water.
Super place.. Good waterfalls... good experience.. good for Jan to march.. you can take a good bath under waterfalls.. a lot to walk.. a good experience with the walk.. you can see a lot of trees .. well maintained footpaths . no plastic can bring to here.. good scene over here..
