Raja's Seat, Madikeri Reviews

  • Beautiful place to visit. The vision of the nature is quite tremendous from here. It costs ₹5 for entrance. Not a big place though. One will enjoy the nature sitting in a quite place like this. It also depends on the crowd during your visit. When I visited, there were very few people around and the calm surrounding gave a pleasant feeling.

  • Nice place to visit. Preferably in the evening.. evening some crowd will be there.. good seating arrangement. Good views in the evening... Musical fountain present.... As usual you will be bored after some time... Well Greenery and flowers maintained...

  • It's supposed to provide the most breathtaking view of the sunset, because the King had erected up this place especially for watching the tinted sky during sundown with his queen(s). Sadly, it provides nothing of that sort- it has a couple of steps that lead you to a viewing gallery like structure guarded by rails where you can pretend to be enjoying the fresh air and the gorgeous view but ironically it's blocking your view and disrupting the background if you're clicking pictures of the valley. The good idea however is to step aside a little from that place and squat on the seating areas made adjacent to it and "enjoy" the lush green view. Oh, and the sunset is nothing more than a usual orange tinged sky that you see everyday, but more distorted since it is usually misty up there, so if you come here especially for witnessing that then you're going to be very very disappointed.

  • The most beautiful place in Madikeri. Go there early morning or after 4:30pm. Will feel like heaven. Superb. What a view. Has a musical fountain, small flower garden and toy train. And also some petty shops selling chocolates, chats etc. Too good place to visit.

  • It's a famous place to enjoy Sun-rise but unfortunately You can't enjoy sunrise all the time here due to the weather and plus there are no directions available here to guide you to the way where you can see the sun rise. The park is well maintained though and good for kids but it's substantially small for the amount of crowd that come here. But it's quite beautiful and well maintained.
