About Raja's Seat, Madikeri
Surrounded by musical fountains and beautiful flowers, Raja’s seat is probably the prettiest man made landscape in the town. The garden is a glorious sight when the flowers are in season and in full bloom. It is said that the Kodavu kings loved to spend time at this spot with their wives. The toy train in the garden takes people around the park to enjoy the full view of the mountains.

Raja's Seat, Madikeri Reviews
Very beautiful location and has got excellent views. The mountains look stunning. It has got a nice and spacious garden attached. There is very little place to sit, thus it might get uncomfortable especially when whether is hot and sunny. Otherwise during late evenings, people can sit on the stairs and watch the sunset. There is another small park right across the street where children can enjoy the ride on a toy train.
Yet another beautiful sunset I have experienced after quite some months. Exquisite view of breathtaking landscape also includes the package. So relaxing to sit and watch the beautiful lighting change that happens in the sunset. If you are really lucky, you can see a different spectrum of lights in one day. Things to remember visiting the Raja's Seat: It is very crowded on the weekends. This viewpoint has three different levels where one can watch the sunset from. 1. From the garden (as soon as you enter this destination, you'll have access to the gardens). 2. From the patio, just below the garden (you can walk down the stairs from the garden to reach the patio). 3. From the small mountain area, where you need to walk a bit. It is not a hard trek, it's easy to walk down to this place. Most of the tourist don't go there, but the third location is worth trying. (You can probably see this place from the garden towards your left of the patio or garden). Vehicle parking is very hard due to confined roads in the hills. It is advisable to find a parking well ahead of the spot and walk to the location, the traffic can be very bad.
Not a very wonderful place. But can go there once. Toy train which is Center of attraction. It costs 20 Rs per person. But it will stop as soon as it will start. Hardly takes 2 minutes to complete 1 round. Not worth taking. But can go once.
Amazing place everyone should visit at least one in lifetime. In season times there will be huge crowd. So if you wanna enjoy your visit here then plan to visit on Monday to Thursday. It will be very good in winter season. In summer place will be dry you can see the sunset though.
Nice place to see sunset and fog. It's about 1.2 km from the bus stand. Autos are easily available to and fro, at INR 30 for 3 persons. If you come early in the morning, you will be able to spot a lot many chirping birds, mostly small. Carry a telephoto lens for birding. The place also has public utilities as well. Good place to spend time alone and with friends and family alike.
