Just like the Tenney Park, the Vilas Park is a lovely outdoor arena to be at. It can be said to be a one of the good things to do in Madison for kids owing to a nice playground in here. On some days of the week, there are food trucks fringing the park’s boundary. The highlight of this park is a picturesque beach from where you can see the adjoin lake waters and some wildlife too. In winters, some part of the park transforms into an ice rink, that is considered to be a famous ice-skating spot in Madison.

Vilas Park Reviews & Ratings
GO HERE! This is the coolest free zoo ever. Honestly, better than the not-free zoo back home. A lot bigger than what I thought it would be. I was expecting a few "zoo animals" and mostly farm type animals but was pleasantly surprised to find quite the opposite. There are boxes throughout the zoo for donations to support, but no entrance fee and no pressure. Gift shop items reasonably priced too.
Fun zoo! Super cool that it's free, they have a donation box out front so try to give what you can. Sadly the primate building was closed when we went (my favorite) but it happens. The lemurs were out though so that was pretty cool. Highly recommend stopping here!
Big zoo. Beautiful scenery. Wide variety of interesting animals. Free entry. Grill with polar bear viewing cool. Good good. Prices high, but help fund zoo. An excellent attraction, would recommend.
Zoo is good and it is free! There are great play areas both inside and outside the zoo. The park is large so lots of room to run around. There is a beach and ice skating in the winter. A Madison gem.
I really enjoy my time there with my grandson the only thing I did not like about the zoo was the Bison was a little too thin I saw his ribs and I was upset. I lived in Canada for about 10 years and there bison or very healthy and did not see no ribs very healthy animals. I don't think bison supposed to look like the way that bison looked at their zoo I was very upset about what I saw but far as that everything else was good . I didn't get a chance to see the Tigers I don't know where they were but anyway still good place to go to .I would have gave five stars but I'm giving it four because of the Bison.
