Beautiful racecourse with views. The artificial turf at the winners circle and the grandstand is just awesome. The atmosphere , the shops , the food, the kids area very well set up for a friendly family environment. Coming from Australia to watch a race here in Spain was a great experience. Loved every bit of it and will be visiting again soon. Must visit and see place.
Horseracing for the whole family. The re were bouncy castles, face painting, food trucks, etc. That combined with horseracing. You also get beautiful views of Madrid thrown in. Great day out.
Great place. Have it all! Good food, drinks and gamble!! :
Horce races field. They have an open air Place in summer with food and kids activities. A couple of restaurants too.
It depends what you are looking for. If you want a nice day out sitting in the sun with some nice food and drinks then you have everything you need. On the other hand if that is the case there are plenty of other (and better) options for that in Madrid that are cheaper and easier to get to. If you are there because you want to have a bet on the horses, you will find the set-up to be extremely basic and unprofessional compared to what you are used to if you have been to racing elsewhere in Europe. There is no transparency at all with the odds and an extreme lack of information sources. The races are not covered by external bookmakers so you have no way of checking odds and the prices and swing hugely - but you just have to take their word for it. You can only bet in cash, in person at the tills but be very careful, the technology is poor and mistakes are made. Check carefully that the slip you are given corresponds to the bet you wanted. For example, on a recent visit, a friend of mine put a bet for the next race. His horse won but when he went to cash it in he was told that his bet had randomly been put on a different race. They said it was down to a computer error but did not seem too bothered and just shrugged their shoulders when he tried to complain - the message was basically tough luck. A few months ago they had over-watered the track leading to some fallers and so switched the races to the sand track from grass without warning, totally undermining and research people may have done. Again, this is a nice place to pass a few hours but i´m afraid is is not a serious horse racing venue.
