What a super hotel! Room was chic and well designed. Well placed and the staff were so friendly and helpful. They found a space in their underground car park for my motorcycle so it was securely parked. I'd recommend this place if you're staying in Madrid. Good breakfast too
The room I got with my son was quite nice. However we booked 2 double with external views. We got 1 the other was a single with Internal views. Yet we were charged for the double. The manager via email made excuses but no solutions. I have regularly stayed at the Ibis in several cities and this was the first time I have ever had any issue. The problem seems to be more with the manager in charges desire to make excuses rather than amends and solve their errors. I cannot under these conditions recommend this hotel however the brand Ibis and it's other locations have always been too class and I would recommend them normally on service. It's too bad this has been an exception to a long history of amazing experiences.
Nice place with great location. Rooms are well maintained and contemporary. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast has good options. Elevator is very small. But one of my friend had a very bad experience about their dynamic pricing system. The room was booked at about 110 euro and at the end of 4 days of stay, he was charged different prices for each day, last day charge was 149 euro. They said it is their policy and room rents increased due to a football match in the city. Well......
Great location, easy walking access to shopping restaurants and sights. Very clean, well laid out rooms, great breakfast selection. Welcoming staff. Only gripe was inconsistent temperate with shower and noise when trying to sleep with the pipeworks in outside fire escape stairwell which the room was next to. Would stay again but not in the same room.
We spent 4 nights at this hotel, located only 3 blocks from the Thyssen museum and a quick 1/2 mile walk to the Prado or the Puerta del Sol and less than a mile to the Palacio Real. We sadly had been theft victims in the Barcelona Metro, so we spent a great deal of our Madrid time amassing the paperwork needed to replace a stolen "green card." The front desk staff were outstanding! They helped with secure online connections, printing and copying documents, all with a smile, even when we were most frazzled! Kudos especially to Aitana, Carmen, Begona, and Isabel: we couldn't have done it without you! Our room was large, quiet (facing toward a very quiet rear street), spotless, with good wifi and a fridge. Breakfast included meats and cheeses, pastries, and fresh fruit; a good start to busy days trekking back and forth to the US Consulate. There are lots of cafes, tapas bars and restaurants within a 1/2 mile walk from the hotel. We can heartily recommend Restaurante La Finca de Susana about a 3-block walk away: we enjoyed our first dinner so much that we ate there 3 nights in a row! If we return to Madrid, we will definitely stay at the Ibis Styles Madrid Prado!"
