Madrid Rio - Review
A very clever public space planner saw Madrid’s Rio highway and decided this had park potential. And Viola! – there were long and wonderful walkways, on two sides of a lovely river (down which you can try and scull), and on the banks of which you can walk, jog, run, cycle, Segway, or just stroll with your romantic interest. You can rent the cycle and segways nearby (try neary Segovia bridge). There are lots of cafeterias, restaurants, benches and shady spots. It’s one of they city’s favourite family hangouts.
Also, visit nearby attractions which are covered in Madrid itinerary 5 days.

Madrid Rio, Madrid Reviews
What a wonderful park in Madrid. It is a place where you can do some sport, meet new people or get the right energy for yourself. In Madrid there are many parks but this one you need to visit. It's a paradise.
Every year the environment along the Manzanares gets better and better as trees get bigger and the area gets more greenery. Its at its best during summer when all the cafés are open and full, kids are playing in the fountains, and the trees are all in bloom. The only thing missing is access to a clean river where one could practice and enjoy boat rides and perhaps a swim. The bridges along the river provide awesome photo opportunities. Enjoy walking, running, skating along the banks of the river.
This is probably best place if you want to go for a walk or run in Madrid City, but the fact that the pedestrians do not know how to walk and constantly bump into you whether you are walking, running or cycling spoils the fun. Another big issue is that Madrid Río is not a river, but a shallow stream where even baby ducks can walk. They should increase the flow of the water as it would cool down the city in hot summer months and provide much needed humidity.
Loooove this place. Great for roller blading. Cycling. Running. Strolling. Great Lil parks for kids to climb and play on. Swings for kids and adults. And best of all the water play area with sunbeds.
Es muy bonito, vas a tomarte algo y tienes unas vistas increibles, puedes pasear, comer o beber muy cerca todo, y es un lugar agradable
