6 hangars, 150+ aircrafts and hundreds of little model miniatures and toys are your main attraction here. Most of the crafts you’ll see here, which include planes and helicopters, have served in the Spanish military and civil bodies. Also displayed are uniforms, weapons, engines and practically anything air related. There’s even first generation flight simulators! (if only they could see the games we play on PC now). Quite a number of the aircraft are historically significant, such as a transatlantic aircraft and one flown by Francisco Franco himself at the start of the civil war.
- You can visit this place anytime.
- Take all the pictures you want.
- There’s no easy route from the airport to the museum. Plan your route out very carefully!
- Do not confuse this with the FIO (Fundación Infante de Orleans) collection.
- Entry and parking is free.
- Metro Train C-5 and Subway 10 at Cuatro Vientos.

This is a must for anybody remotely interested in aviation and visiting Madrid. The collection and it's diversity is staggering. It looks like nearly every type flown in the Spanish Air Force has been preserved. The collection is constantly being maintained and painted. The quality is very high and the early pioneers of flight us a great exhibit. There is a shop and this is full of aviation related merchandise. It's free to enter and we gave a donation. It's open from 10:00 till 14:00 and you need to get there early to get the most out of your visit. I want to go back as you can see more is being added.
Must go museum for aviation enthusiast, especially vintage aircraft (30s-70s). The museum has a nice collection of military aircraft that not easily seen any where else
