In Madrid, if you are looking for a perfect place to find inner peace, then Palacio De Cristal is the correct destination. Beautiful, quiet, relaxing, and serene place. It is basically the venue for art exhibitions organized by Reina Sofía Museum, modeled on London's Crystal Palace. The gardens and ponds around the castle have a beautiful assortment of wildlife and walking paths. Turtles are plentiful along with huge ducks and birds. It has a beautiful glass and iron structure originally created as a greenhouse over 125 years ago, with majesty and presence to this day. Definitely one of, if not the most beautiful destinations in Madrid.

  • Very nice construction! Nowadays is a museum of modern art. The entrance is free and they have also a free bathroom inside. The palace is more beautiful from outside, where you can see the artificial lake and palace. Totally worthy visit! And the whole park around it is also amazing, therefore, a must go place in Madrid!

  • Part of a wonderful park, you should definitely include the Palacio de Cristal in your trip. It's beautiful, both inside and out. Great for photographers too. After sunset, the lights come on and it takes on another life again. Spend an afternoon wandering around the park, and enjoy half an hour in here. Then come back at night.

  • This is one of the most beautiful buildings in town. Among the trees in the Retiro park and right in front of a small lake you'll find it. It is made with so many glasses and is a part of the amazing museum of Reina Sofia. There are art exhibitions almost all the year and you can enjoy visiting modern art in a modern gallery which could turn a boring afternoon into a brilliant one.

  • I don't know what goes expected, it's a large ornate glass house. But doesn't actually house much at all. It would be better served as a green house. Sits in a beautiful park and has a large pond adjacent. With terrapin and ducks. A must see but underused place.

  • The surrounding area is gorgeous but I didn’t think there was much to see of the actual place during the day. Perhaps at night it is worth a visit since they turn on the lights and from photos I’ve seen, it looks really pretty.
