Parque Del Oeste - Review
North of the Royal Palace, this excellent English rose garden is famed for its roses, and annual flower show and competition. A crazy attraction here, just south of the roses is an authentic Egyptian temple, one that was reconstructed atop the hill. The park has seen some blood too – rebels dies here, and were buried here in the 19th century. The Fuente de Juan de Villanueva is the city’s tallest fountain. You’ll even find a strage looking monument to the painter Goya. It makes for an excellent stroll or run.

Parque Del Oeste, Madrid Reviews
The park is quit big in the middle of roads and there is no specific access to it as far as I remember since it was open to the road side. It has nice walkways and some great wooden chairs when I was there. Additional fun, it has the only Egyptian temple located outside of egypt.
One of my favourite places to visit in Madrid. Located just north of the royal palace, this park is a great place to run or have a picnic. Here are often people playing music and selling jewelery. There is an Egyptian temple there as well. My favourite time to go is just before sunset - the colours are absolutely amazing. Go a little before though as there can be a lot of tourists taking up the good view points.
Situated in the city center this is a good spot for running or walk around. Even better if during the sunset. Usually there are some artists that play live music and make the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Worth a visit also for the Egyptian monument present in the main square.
It is nice to go there for a short visit and take some photos with the pyramid. You know it is unusual to be able to see an Egyptian building at the very city center but in Madrid they have these Debod pyramid with an enormous park and great sightseeing. Bad thing is... The pyramid visiting is closed most of the time, so make sure it is open before you go in case you were expecting only the sights.
A pleasant park dominated by the Temple of Daud. Excellent views over the city and of the royal palace.
